The 1 Percent Team was built around a simple idea: good projects need good people around them.
Construction and property work can become unnecessarily difficult when communication is poor, responsibility is unclear or decisions are left hanging. We wanted to bring together people with the experience, discipline and practical understanding to manage those situations properly.
That means knowing the work, understanding the bigger picture and taking ownership from the beginning of a project through to the end.

After starting out as an electrician, Tom established his own business at 19, building practical knowledge across construction well beyond his original trade.

As a director of a construction company specialising in high-quality renovations and restorations, Tom gained extensive experience delivering complex projects and managing specialist teams.

From new-build homes and structural work to bespoke joinery and detailed finishing, Marcin has developed extensive hands-on knowledge across the building trades, understanding how every element of a project fits together.

Alongside his construction work in the UK, Marcin develops residential properties in Poland, combining practical building expertise with the wider perspective required to take ambitious developments from concept to reality.

Building technical expertise
Beginning in commercial and retail electrical work, Chris progressed to Regional Supervisor for a nationwide contractor, developing his technical knowledge and experience managing projects.
2007
Establishing his own business
Chris established Chris White Electrical Services and became NICEIC registered, delivering electrical installations across Essex, Suffolk and West London, including high-end bespoke properties.

Josh spent a decade serving in the Parachute Regiment, where personal commitment, trust in others and pride in doing the job properly were part of everyday life.

Leaving the military in his late twenties, Josh pursued plumbing and heating, applying his practical approach to providing safe, reliable and efficient solutions for people's homes.

Sergeant, Parachute Regiment
Jason served 15 years in the Parachute Regiment, rising to the rank of Sergeant. Multiple operational tours and training across the world developed his ability to lead, make decisions under pressure and adapt to demanding environments.
CIVILIAN CAREER
From Sergeant to entrepreneur
Leaving the military in his early thirties with a Level 4 Diploma in Management and Leadership, Jason returned to roofing, a trade he knew before his service. He established his first business, putting his leadership experience into practice.

Jason has developed his business to offer roofing, scaffolding delivered by Gold Card-qualified operatives, and certified Solfit integrated solar PV installations supported by MCS-registered electricians. He brings specialist capability and proven leadership to the team.
